From Legendary live music venues, to florists, barns and breweries, this year’s Guitars in Bars program showcases the wealth of musical talent all across South Australia. Explore beyond the city limits and discover live music from Ceduna to Mount Gambier and everywhere in between.

KATIE POMERY

Katie Pomery is an Adelaide based singer/songwriter influenced by indie rock, pop, jazz, and soul. Her soft indie sound intwines with heartfelt lyrics depicting inner struggles of life, love and mental illness. In 2017 she released her EP ‘Freed’, a collection of tunes with an overall theme of wanting to be freed from anxiety and other demons, and has recently released 2 singles ‘Blue for You’ and ‘Bumpy Road’.

SLAVA GRIGORYAN

At the age of 18, his first tour was with guitar legends Paco Pena and Leo Kottke. Since then he’s travelled the world as a soloist in recitals and with orchestras in Europe, Asia and North America. Appearances with orchestras have included the London Philharmonic, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Halle, the Dresden Radio Orchestra, the Israel Symphony and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. 

He has won ARIA awards for Best Classical Album and performs regularly as a soloist with all of Australia’s symphony orchestras. 

Slava is the Artistic Director of the Adelaide Guitar Festival

STEFAN HAUK

Blues lead guitarist come singer/songwriter Stefan Hauk is one of Australia’s brightest future beacons for blues music.

At just 23 years of age he’s already received praise from some of the worlds most renowned players, including Joe Bonamassa: “Great to meet my friend Stefan, a great guitarist from Australia who you’ll hear a lot from one day soon”, Richie Sambora: “Stefan, you were awesome last night and a great guy too. It’s good when you meet new friends, respect.”, Kirk Fletcher: “Man, I wish I could play like that.”, Orianthi: “Stefan sounds awesome.” and Eric Steckel: “The guy is just incredible, as soon as I saw him, I thought, wow, I’ve gotta get this guy up with me.”

His debut album ‘Long Road’ was released in September 2017 with a great response. It can be found on all major streaming services.

His bluesy guitar stylings combined with his mature songwriting and his soulful voice means he is truly the future of blues music in this country and possibly worldwide.
