With the success of Guitars in Bars in 2017, featuring 555 artists across 160 events state-wide, the Adelaide Guitar Festival is bringing it back in 2018.
Guitars in Bars is taking the AGF to the usual and unusual venues, spaces and places across South Australia with a series of free and ticketed events.
Enriching and diversifying Adelaide’s live music scene, we invite musicians and venues from around the state to be part of this great winter music festival.

Submissions for the Venue Directory have now closed. Be sure to register any events via the link above.
Charles Sturt Council will pay the registration fees for the first 50 events within their area! That’s any venue from Bowden and Hindmarsh all the way down to West Lakes and Henley Beach. After registering your event, we will be in touch to let you know if you are successful for this opportunity.
Adelaide Casino is hosting the Guitars In Bars Battle of the Bands where artists can share in over $10k worth of cash and prizes. Applications are open for any artists hosting Guitars in Bars events, you can apply while registering your event. Read more about it here.
The City of Adelaide are providing musicians with better access across the city with live music venue loading zones. The ‘City of Music’ loading zones allow musicians 30 minutes, rather than 10 minutes, regardless of vehicle type. To find them look for the orange City of Music sign or for a list of loading zone locations visit their website.
